Data & Insight Driven

I make data and insight driven design decisions, and I'm proficient in UX research tools such as UserZoom, Dovetail, and Miro/Mural.

For Apps or Services

You can find quantitative & qualitative research in these two case studies:

Working with UX researcher, I designed unmoderated tests to measure quantitative usability attributes:

  • Measured success rate of targeted tasks

  • Time to complete tasks

  • Surveys and other subjective satisfaction

  • Where do users go for the information they are looking for

Qualitative research provided findings and insights to guide my designs:

  • Think-out-loud tests & quiz, to see if a certain key information is successfully delivered

  • Open questions survey combined with click tests, find the why behind pain points

  • AB test to tell which design direction would work better

  • Helpdesk tickets and feedback collected with real time web feedback modal

For Web Ecosystem

Real time web engagement metrics are monitored and support the UX initiatives I worked on, giving me findings on user behaviors as the foundation for my hypothesis:

  • Pageview

  • Time spent per visit

  • Where does the visit come from

  • Where are visitors going

  • Where do they drop off

Qualitative research such as user interviews are also included to find the why behind these numbers. You can find more details in these two case studies:

Team Structure I'm Familiar With

The team structure I’m familiar with includes agile scrum team with PO/PM, engineers and scrum masters; and I've worked in parallel within a team of designers, design engineers, UX researchers and content strategist.

In the scrum team…

I solve business needs with as much as user centered design we can provide. I learn technical supports and constraints from team members, communicate possibilities through lo-fi to hi-fi designs and make influences with high quality delivarables.

In the designer team…

I socialize updates and ideas across different products to make sure everything is aligned, this also includes contributing to the always evolving Design System (DSM) team along the design process.

With stakeholders…

I also have worked with other stakeholders, such as product owners of other area, content partners and strategists, SEO leads, marketing and communication teams, ect. I learn their goals, collaborate and present design decisions.

My Ideal Next Job

I am seeking a role that will enable me to learn, be creative, take ownership of a part of the product design, propose new ideas, and support a design system team. I am passionate about UX design and excited to bring my skills and enthusiasm to my next role.

As a UX designer, I am passionate about exploring different industries and learning more about the people they serve. By working on diverse projects, I hope to research and understand users' behaviors and preferences to create innovative and effective designs.

Additionally, I am seeking a role that will allow me to take ownership of a part of a product design. Being able to lead a specific aspect of a project will enable me to have a more significant impact on the final design outcome. I also want to have the opportunity to propose new ideas, especially long-term benefits to the team or ideas that can balance immediate needs with long-term goals.

A creative and user-centered environment is crucial for me. I am looking for an organization that encourages experimentation and embraces failure as part of the learning process. Working with design thinking methodologies will allow me to produce designs that are relevant, useful, and engaging for users.
